It's Quiet the £250m return

Rico is a fine back up CM. We've got to find 4 club trained players each year from somewhere.
Yes and that’s why I believe he isnt going anywhere. That being said, I think it’s a farce that club-trained/English even has to be a consideration.

Well yeah we could have none and 4 less players in the squad.

But we might as well maximise who we can use from our excellent academy.
Don't we have 4 already even without him (not that I am advocating selling him)?

Bobb, Foden, O'Reilly and Trafford (though I suppose O'Reilly doesn't need including just yet due to age). Lots of promising youngsters coming through too.

Nah we don't.
But in case we have a huge academy full of CT.
Exactly. As long as they comply with the regulations than they can have an unlimited number of players on the B list

For this season:-

31.12
A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 2004 and has, since his 15th birthday, been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years, or a total of three consecutive years with a maximum of one loan period to a club from the same association for a period not longer than one year. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been registered with the participating club for the previous two years without interruption.

Not sure i expect Bobb (especially) or O'Reilly to escape the same fate as mcatee, palmer, hardwood bellis, lavia, delap etc

At least Rico showed signs he might

If they're good enough (and want to stay to forestall the inevitable "what about Palmer" nonsense) then they'll stay, I believe Bobb (especially) & O'Reilly both are here long term. You just haven't watched Bobb enough if you don't think he's going to be a superstar for us.

I think ive seen every minute of him he's played at home tbf and some games at U21.

He's played 900 minutes, contributed 3 goals, 3 assists. What makes him so much better than mcatee or savinho? I'm not saying hes not good, but i am curious what gives so many this belief he's a sure star?

For instance mcatee got 42 G/A in 46 games for U21s, Bobb got 40 G/A in 61.

Touch, control, vision, two footed with very quick feet, passing ability, footballing intelligence, very good presser, can play multiple positions and weighs in with a few goals too.

Personally I think he'll end up playing more infield but will probably get most of his minutes out on the left for the next season or 2.

Lewis and O'Reilly don't need to in the CT list both can be U21 players.Whether Lewis stays or goes makes no difference to any list for this season.

Spot on for me, he moved infield for the youth and looked far better than he did on the wing. I wish James McAtee all the best but I consider Bobb on another level.
