That is enough to then register all the remaining foreign players for CL. If we sign any more it's got to be one in one out. Ortega is an option for an extra spot. We have 2 home grown keepers we could register for CL.

I suspect we will try to shift on 1 more so that we have room to manoeuvre. Wouldn't surprise me if Gundo left. Having a free space allows you to make cheeky bids on deadline day. Or buy in Jan and be able to add a player without issue.

In rather depends on him. If he fulfils his potential, we'd be interested even if we didn't own him so would definitely bring him back. If he doesn't, he wouldn't be good enough for a team chasing titles, so who cares that we don't see him.

If Leverkusen can develop him into the next Wirtz, this is an excellent deal for us. If they can't, then he wouldn't have been good enough playing at PL2 level to ever make our first team.

I think we are in a good position. We need to shift the above players but it looks like it's getting done. I assume Ortega has been warned he could drop out of CL so wouldn't surprise me to see him go as well. Guessing he would also want a better shot at a starting spot.

If we get to a point where we have 1 or 2 free spots then absolutely we would make some bids.
