It's Quiet the £250m return

It pisses me off too a bit. But I’d rather he got game time away than be sat here getting splitters on his arse in the hope he might get 10 minutes in a cup game again Wycombe Wanders.

I think this kid has got a rare talent.

I understand that, but you know where I was coming from all along, then clever twats start coming out with their FPL thinking caps on, and trying to state something that isn't as obvious as they are making it to be, it's ok saying well he's behind him and him etc in the pecking order, but these knobs are seeming to forget we signed this kid ages ago, not a month back.

He doesn't bother me mate, nor should it you, I've been on here long enough to notice a wanker on here, and it isn't hard to spot, far too many for my liking as well, but hey ho, I will give as good as I get
Exactly, the guy is insufferable. Just look at his comments, he spends more time talking trash to others here than talking about football related stuff.

Disappointing we have helped out the side that's led by ten hag that has been in bed with the dippers all summer but whatever, as long as he actually plays. Still dont like this supposed conflict of him not wanting to go to Girona, you'd expect him to trust the hierarchy and not go against them, not a good sign. Let's hope he does well, loan was always on the cards and the better option.

We shall see, an offer could still happen, and who knows it might be accepted at the time, I just think it's a shame, we were all seeing videos months and months and months ago, looks so exciting then bang off you pop lad, just annoys me that's all

I get your frustration. The fact is he's 19 and he's joined a club that expects people to deliver instantly. You couldn't pick a better place for him to go on loan really. He's got a manager who, whilst useless at the rags, has good experience working with younger players. He'll be in the CL and competing at the top end domestically. He should learn a lot and the Bundesliga is a good place for him to get used to the pace and physicality of things in England. He'll come back a better player and hopefully ready to slot into our team next season. Or he'll do very little and we'll move him on. Either way makes more sense than being on the bench which might work for academy prospects but isn't ideal for a young player who's moved over to the club from so far away.

Whilst he looks like a special talent, he's not going to be ahead of Bobb, Cherki and Foden so his game time with us is going to be limited.

Probably because Leverkusen is much better than Girona.

I get that mate, but it’s better these guys get solid minutes elsewhere first. Yes, at times it means we don’t end up them coming back, it’s just the price we pay for being a top club. Doesn’t help too that we are going through a big squad evolution. In an ideal world all the old guard would have moved on, but we’re seeing it’s not quite that easy.

I’d prefer him at Leverkusen than Girona.

On the plus side, the Bundesliga and Northwest Germany in particular are probably more use in ultimately adapting to the Premier League/Manchester than Girona would be

And with the young uns we have, what you just mentioned, that's why I'm saying we probably won't see him again, but that makes me an idiot apparently, so like I say we shall see, unless he rips up the Bundesliga of course, fingers crossed eh

Top post mate, saved me attempting to type it.

My thoughts exactly mate.

Given the cultural, societal and climatic similarities between Argentina and both Spain and Italy, frequently all a loan move to one of those countries achieves is cementing in the player’s mind a desire to play and settle there instead of at City.

It’s easier for an Argentine to settle in Spain or Italy, as it’s way more familiar to them on every level.

Germany is climatically and culturally more similar to the UK, and the style of football will hopefully add more to his game to compliment his talent and the understanding he developed playing in Argentina.

Really happy with him going to the Bundesliga - and Bayer are a very good side for him to learn at.

We might not mate, but if that's the case it will be because he's not good enough. We don't know how this lad is going to turn out. There was huge hype around him, but he didn't have the season that I was expecting last time around. His development at River Plate largely stalled and even with all of our struggles he barely played. He looked good in the CWC before his injury but this move makes sense.

If he performs we'll see him again. If not, we won't. And we move on. I care a lot more when they're academy players personally because I think we would all like to see a Barca-esque team one day where a core is from the Manchester region and leading the team to success.

It's only Palmer the club will regret selling, which is a pretty incredible record. There's always a lot of drama over younger players, but we're usually spot on. How many on here wanted us to buy-back Lavia? £53m club Chelsea paid for 23 appearances over two seasons!
