IF I was Khaldoon looking at that I would be binning off the idea of Rodrygo (unless Sav leaves) and certainly Donarumma
Save the cash and buy a physical central midfielder and 2 right backs - urgently or nothing changes this season to last - one injury to Rodri and it all goes to shit again.

That is why I wanted Neves, but we let him go to PSG. The work horse I can think of now, is Baleba, not a good ball player and very expensive.we’ve been needing a work horse midfielder for a while now. Silva is not the same as he used to be

Donarumma maybe the best shot stopper in the world but he is going to have to be if we continue to try and play like we have been for the last 10 years.
What needs to happen is to either get a keeper in to replace Ederson who is also comfortable with his feet, keep Ederson or play with a back 4 who are all fantastic on the ball (Dias and Ake aint and Rico is poor when pressed) plus a midfield who can work it through the whole length of the pitch either through physicality (which we dont have in abundance besides Rodri and reignjders) or through technical abiity to keep the ball(which we do have) - however the higher press teams will play if Ederson isnt in goals will lead to more high risk turnovers -which we saw today and Im not jsut talking about the goal..there were other times we lost the ball through bing pressed higher up the pitch and it happened quite a lot
I'm a bit surprised if we've known ederson was keen to leave for over a year now that we've made no attempt to move towards tactics that only really one goalie on Earth could play.

Serious discussions at the top should be made after that today. The season will be like last if we don’t do a few top deals in the next week. Today was sobering to say the least.I would try Brighton for Baleba.

We may have to just go crazy this week in the market, if we are serious about competing this year.
Just go full Chelsea, buy up talent at Winger, Midfield, Keeper, and figure out the accounting later.

Anything we do now, outside of the well-established rumours, will be deemed to be panicking. But I don't think we can really watch us getting absolutely bullied by Spurs on our own patch and think we have enough in midfield this season. If we use this last week or so really wisely then today might be a blessing in disguise. I don't think, however, that we'll do anything in midfield or at right-back.
