It's Quiet the £250m return

That line is so tired...
Yeah, completely agree. I didn't hear anyone come out with it in the days when we were signing D. Silva, Tevez, Aguero, Yaya Toure, Barry, Milner, Lescott, etc.

We had big ambitions and brought in players in their prime, not just a list of prospects who might come good with a few of them going out on loan.

As should we, starting with that Fresneda lad, Baleba, Donnarumma and Rodrygo.

To be fair they have smelt blood and are really going for it. I know a lad who works for the admin team at the dippers and he said that the word around them lot was we had stalled badly and they wanted to really smash us to pieces going forward and John Henry had approved doing whatever it takes to finish our dominance for the future.

It's almost as if getting 115 charges to stick didn't do the job.

All of the indications are that he is pushing for the move, which blows away the belief that we don't stand in the way of players who want to move on.
Pep doesn't stand in the way of players who want to leave. This is another instance of City's changing stance on Guardiola's squad philosophy.

Spuds essentially priced Kane out of a move to City as it would weaken them & strengthen us. They also made us pay a record fee for a right-back. The indications are City may do the same regarding Savinho, which is a further erosion of Guardiola's authority.

If we end up with a squad of 25 come next week, what will/can Pep do? Some players have already said they prefer a bigger squad, but the only person out of step with that line of thinking seems to be Guardiola. Are City acting in the clubs best interests as they see it regardless of Pep's wishes?

As for not standing in the way of players wanting to leave, this didn't seem to apply to Bernardo or Walker. It seems Pep won't stand in the way of players wanting to leave, as long as he doesn't want them anyway.

Thought they’d done that hiring Masters and bending the rules to hurt us.

So pretty much what we have failed miserably to do to our rivals since the treble.all because we wanted the net spend of the big six trophy ffs.

We always say anyone can move if unhappy and fee is realised. Perhaps fee not realised. Just a thought

Rumour Ake wants out? Guehi in to replace would be good?
I haven't seen anything to indicate Ake wants out, but only some tenuous links to Everton. By extension, if such links were to turn into a transfer then I've seen further rumours linking us to Guehi in those circumstances.

I think there's nothing in this one. And whilst I think there's a lot to admire about Guehi, I'm not sure he's the right fit for a suicidally high defensive line when he spends most of his time defending in a very deep Palace backline.

To be fair to City, we were building from a far lower base line. Corroded, Vassel, Wiekens etc...

Perhaps, but Galatasaray are way short of our valuation of Ederson. Nevertheless, we remain in dialogue with Galatasaray to try to find a solution. Spurs might not yet have hit our valuation for Savinho but they can't be as far away as Galatasaray are for Ederson (certainly in percentage terms). It doesn't appear as though we are in any dialogue with Spurs at all.
