It's Quiet the £250m return

Might seem the most idiotic post in this thread but maybe Pep needs to relax with the side to side.. let Doku/ Bobb/ Savinho/ Nunes cross it and have 4 targets who can head the ball into the net.

Kinda like Dzeko/ Balotelli/ Kompany/ Yaya.

I can't remember us getting headed goals for a while now with the exception of Nico O'Reilly and Khusanov and they've not played for a while now.

It's nice to add a quality where you can win ugly by out muscling/ out jumping your opponents because you're not always going to win in a pretty manner!
Yeah, f*ck it,
let’s throw out the core style that won us record trophies over the last few years and made us the dominant team in England because we want to ‘get down the lines and throw it in the mixer’(which we rarely did in the Džeko era either)

Lordy

Sadly that's what they're planning to do anyways if they add Donnarumma instead of Ederson anyways right??

I do like adding to the system.. like adding another tool to the tool box!

Internationals are going to be a pain for us. you’ve got AFCON so we will be without Marmoush and Ait Nouri. They will probably go far in that tournament.

Stones called up to England even though he’s had 2 injury ridden seasons and first time he’s finally fit he’s called up

Rodri not started a single game for us but called up for Spain.

Right, so whats the issue then?

He gets bullied in every physical encounter, has the pace of a snail and spends most of his game on the floor as he gets pushed around looking for fouls.
Size isn’t an issue if your first touch is class. If it isnt your second touch invariably means physical contact and that’s where we’re at with Lewis. When his first touch is on like Wolves, there’s a player there but he’s way too inconsistent.

I still can't believe we didn't seriously go for Livramento this Summer.. we made a cheeky 50mil offer in July but Newcastle immediately rejected it saying they want 80mil. His real price is around 70mil. We could've at least offered 50mil + Lewis for him.

What a sales pitch, I know your about to lose your best player in the last decade but we are also going to take your starting RB for the next 10years for nearly half what you want but throw in someone we think isnt good enough either.

Don’t think they ever said £80 mill, think that was a social media invention , think they’ve always said he’s not for sale and Livramento doesn't seem to want a move either. Maybe next year depending how Newcastle do this season.

So he has got a great first touch, it's just a bit inconsistent. As is often the case with young players.

At his age, Scholes had made 20 appearances, Foden about 40. Lewis has made 60, often in different positions and, last season, in a team struggling in both midfield and defensively for fit, experienced players. He's still got a long way to go to nail down a position and place, but he's 20.

If I was a player pledging the next 4 to 5 years, who the manager is would be a consideration at least.
Which player has ever signed for any club knowing who the manager would be in 4 or 5 years. Pretty much none. When Pep first signed many thought it was 3 years at best.

if Girona would buy Phillips for just 5m is that accepted for fair value?
Just ship him to MLS with NYFC he would have nice life there with appropriate playing level for him

No chance of him getting call up for WC anyway
