It's Quiet the £250m return

Marmoush and Khusanov are completely fine, Reis is on loan as is Echeverri, Nico Gonzalez imo has done well but Pep seems to not 100% fancy him, Cherki despite having one injury in 4 years at Lyon is now out for months? There is the best part of £380m spent in 6 months and no club can look twice years down the line on a number of players when champions league revenue is vital to push on? I wonder what Erling was promised when signing such a long contract?
I don’t think Marmoush works in the same lineup as Haaland, he has no intention of finding him and only wants the glory

I see more positives in keeping Trafford as no.1. Donaruuma with the ball at his feet will lead to even more indecision in our back 4, more long kicks leading to more turn over in possession as we are a team that needs possession.. not one who can fight to get it...

Waste of resource and time much better used to sorting the multitude of other glaring issues we have
Will leave it there as we won’t align. I do think though that you are being OTT about Donna.

Maybe but it's also done in 3 or 4 year cycles. I think people are overreacting to act this squad can't get top 5 and CL last 8.

Maybe the most-pertinent question is is Pep the man to spearhead another 4 year cycle? Does he want to be?
The way we are playing we could be in a battle to finish top 10....we have nearly a fully fit squad and we have been as worse tgsn we ever were last season

Pep won't be that man....but does that mean we should just accept mediocrity...just makes the next guys job even harder...or give pep the tools to finish on a high...ge deserves that...
This ain't on this transfer window...this has been coming dine the CL win....and especially since yhe 4 in a row season...it was there for all to see and lits of people here commented on how we got away with it in that 4th league win...

That's possible, but I'm ultimately not sure the club could be doing much more to aid their development.

I feel like a lot of people on here are willing to torch the future to be a bit closer to Liverpool this year.
In the end, we are supposedly a club aiming to win every competition we enter. The season ahead of us is always more important than a season 3 or 4 years from now. A player can have all the potential in the world but what matters is what you deliver on the pitch here and now, regardless if you are 19 or 36. That doesn't mean we shouldn't have young players in the squad, but it can not be at the expense of having a squad good enough to win trophies. If the club starts accepting not being good enough to win trophies in the name of developing talents we are taking one step away from the top clubs of Europe and one step closer to the likes of Brighton.

That's exactly it. You build a world class core and have youngsters around the edges. They learn from the world class players and take on more responsibility in time. Some of them don't make the grade and get sold on with the best wishes of everyone. At the same time as world class players get old and move on to pastures new, you buy in more world class players to keep the standards high.

I think he is a decent keeper...don't get it twisted...but I think he causes other issues. Pep won't change the way he wants to play....
Well, he’s either not as bad as you are continually saying or he won’t get a game if Pep won’t change.

We can all agree that not every signing works out. I would like to also think you would agree we don’t spunk millions for dhits and giggles

Get your cv in. The club obviously need your insight

I do think we need to see how we are in a month or so. This feels like preseason form.

Get Reijnders, RAN up to speed, Gvardiol and Foden back in.

We could drop Liverpool and Arsenal, maybe even Chelsea but Pep and the players should over the course of a season be enough to get top 4.

He immediately jumps in the air so hardly the reaction of someone intending to run on to the ball. He also put the other on a plate only for Haaland to fluff.
Yeah, I think you're right about the second one and I'm not saying Marmoush deliberately makes a point of excluding Haaland per se. But just on that goal I think he overhit it and it worked out well.

He literally found him today, though. Marmoush is not a problem, none of the 2025 signings are, the complacency in the last few years is catching up, though. We have been served the bill, and it will take a lot of money/time to pay it.

I am not sure Pep is the man to do it. I think he is tired and needs an extended break, he has done enough for us.

I just don't think top DoFs are that short termist.

We've watched PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal manage it without turning into Brighton.
