We could have played Akanji at right back and played Khusanov and Gvardiol at centre back...Yet we take £2m loan fee off Inter Milan, Should have just kept Akanji for the season if that's the case ffs.

Akanji was right back in the CL final and nearly cost us, he was right back in last season’s FA cup final and did cost us.

He’s a decent utility player and was a bargain for £15million but Rico is also a decent utility/squad player who can fill the same role. It’s time for Akanji to move on.

Ideally we’d have signed a right back but for me need to go with Nunes now and have Nico AND Rodri as cover. Let the front 4 fight it out amongst the likes of Cherki, Foden, Rejinders, Doku, Marmoush for a spot with Haaland.
