It's Quiet the £250m return

Inactive FC.

To not have brought in a right back and gambling on Rodri's fitness is ridiculous.

Not been impressed with most of the incomings in January and the Summer.

Unfortunately liverpool has done what we all hoped City would do. Just blow everyone else out of the water by paying what it takes for the best in the positions they needed.

What a complete yellow belly post that is

One thing for sure, we all know who the clubs number one target is for right back.

Now watch his contract situation.

As I have been told for weeks, Newcastle are wanting to open negotiations for a long term deal but nothing has happened.

I apologise to the ones who got the hopes up, I am equally disappointed. He was so adamant for weeks it was a position we was looking at still, and even yesterday evening I was told we are still actively in the market for a right back.

Let’s hope Nunes and Lewis prove us wrong and this season will be a success.
Cant see Newcastle letting this one go the same way Isak did

Keep Bettinelli in the Carson role when he's fit. That's why he was signed.

Ortega can stay home on match days and collect his pay for doing fuck all. He had options to leave. He rejected them. Fine. That's his right, he has a contract. He can sit home and let his skills erode whilst watching daytime television or taking a walk in the park or whatever he finds to fill his time.
That sounds like the life, sign me up

I know it will probably be lost in who we haven’t brought in, but Ortega not leaving is so strange??

We're really overdoing it on Liverpool.

They've bought Isak to try and compete with Haaland.

Cherki and wirtz are not far apart.

Guehi isn't a patch on Gvardiol.

Kerkez is just a Robertson replacement, Frimpong doesn't adequately replace TAA.

Ekitike got outscored by Marmoush for Frankfurt despite having 6 months more to do it.

If Liverpool win the league it's solely down to the ridiculous level a 34 and 33 year old have set.

We got legs in midfield and bought a couple who Chelsea can get the best out of in 2 years ;)

We replaced our goalies for the next 5 years...which is massively important as we continue to play a suicidal high line and don't like trying to score.

Other than that, champion effort compared to Liverpool - miles better window by anyone's measure.

Contract expiring in 2 years, certainly possible he could want a move away next summer aged 30 with one year left. Especially if City keeps showing little ambition and are focusing on players that might become good 3 years from now instead of trying to build a team that will compete for trophies.

Madrid main target next summer. They are monitoring his contract situation

Shocker, those in charge of transfers need to now be held accountable.

We are sinking.

Yea probably too focused like some on here about moving on the likes of Gundo and Akanji than actually strengthening the team. We needed a good 2/3 more than the ones we have got. Shambles of a window on the back of the same in summers 23 & 24.

According to the BBC, both Liverpool and us have yet to confirm deals.
It suggests premature hysteria here.
Mind you, I would have been quite happy to sign nobody today and just let the legends go.

Windows are weird. If we'd bought of all Reijnders, Cherki, RAN, Donnarumma and Nypan today i think most people would be buzzing.

At this point its so obvious we're waiting for Livramento too and it's better to do that than just fill the gap with substandard overpriced ageing options.
Id actually be furious if we'd signed all of those today, as it would have made us look even more unprepared that I think we already are

However, if someone had said in June, that we'd end up with Ait Nouri, Reijnders, Cherki and Donnarumma id have been fairly happy, but would still think we're short in key areas, RB and quality wingers

Our new signings have as much to prove as Liverpools and Arsenals, let's hope they all settle and prove a lot of (me included!) wrong.

He wasn’t given a top set of players at all so stop talking bollocks. We just scrapped CL his first season with quite a few who needed moving on.

The revision in here is off the fucking chart at times.

He’ll go down as a legend and the man who changed football in England forever.
The greatest ever premier league manager who built our club from top to bottom
We disagree on Donarumma - i believe its a mistake - a keeper who cant play with the ball at his feet is going to cause our already nervous back 4 more problems.

But if you had read my first post correctly on Pep you wouldnt have replied the way you did as you would have seen that I wasnt saying that what you accused me of.

And unfortunately legacy isnt concerned with what you or I think (id have Pep here for life regardless)...its about what the wider/vast majority of the football world thinks....look at someone like Thierry Henry - he has a legacy in the prem as he is widely regarded as one of the best strikers ever and no one questions it...there will be plenty of people that wil (wrongly) question peps legacy if he fails over the next couple of seasons....which this squad wont help
who gives a fuck what the media and others think we no what he’s done for our great club pep the greatest

Would you give over attacking people (and there are a great many) who think we've had a terrible window/12 mths?

The signings have not been good, we've spent the same amount of money as the dippers in 2025 roughly and we are miles worse off, absolutely MILES.

Fucking happy clapper final boss.

@Damien10 has been the closest we’ve had to an ITK this summer window. Much better track record than Tolmie even. Idk if him outing himself made him less privy to information. Anyway, thanks for sharing in good faith guys

No, I won’t. You and yours are a bunch of mardy arsed litle toe-rags.
