It's Quiet the £250m return

Whos made up that omar salary
Whos made up that omar salary
Capology have all player salaries for all teams and renowned for accuracy. Marmoush’s salary at that level is quoted by almost all reputable websites, including that he earned €2m in Germany. He earned a 9 fold pay rise moving to City. Sky Germany at the time reported €16-17m

Wait, I think I’m a bit confused… Jack Gaughan said we loaned out Akanji in order to meet the Champions League registration rules, but even if we include Donnarumma and leave Ortega unregistered, we’d still have exactly 17 NHG players.
So just to take four goalkeepers, we threw out someone who can even play right-back, without any guarantee that the other club will buy him permanently?

Why are you judging City players after 3 games? At least give them half a season.
Not just 3 games this goes back to last season and the CWC, we’ve not improved one bit, in fact I’d say we are regressing now, devoid of ideas, we all know we get done in the counter and play a high line yet haven’t replaced Walker, we are playing the same pass pass football allowing teams to get back and park the bus, inverted wingers, right back into midfield leaving us short. Worked when others didn’t know what to do, the games moved on but we sadly haven’t.

Add to the above the players we’ve let leave from Academy in past 3 years: Cole Palmer, Pedro Porro, Morgan Rogers etc.
None of the players you have mentioned gave any indication that they were at the level required, or seemed likely to achieve that level. None of them were going to replace highly successful and established City first teamers, at the time they left. They all wanted to leave for game time, and City (correctly) allowed them to go for suitable fees.

Hindsight is a wonderful gift, particularly if you can exercise it beforehand.

Don't forget a successful Chelsea side "allowed" KDB and Salad to leave, and they were still successful

Galatasaray just spent €25m on a Turkish goalie after haggling with us over Ederson for a month and never went over 8m

I am glad the window is closed. Hopefully, we can now progress as a settled unit and properly integrate the new arrivals to build a high functioning team.

I have been a bit embarrassed by the neediness here and by the willingness to belittle and ridicule our players, and to praise those long gone as the solution, though they carried little support at the time they were here. Similarly, players who left from the academy years ago, who have now built decent careers, are being weaponised against the club, though absolutely nobody was calling for their integration at the time. I hope all of that now stops and we can get behind supporting our team and the players we have.

Everyone knows that we haven't got every, single thing right, but we have been the envy of the football world for a long time and we may well become that again. It is more likely to happen with passionate support that does not give social media shit-stirrers what they wish for.

I have no idea what Marmoush earns but capology are renowned for listing salaries that are pure fiction. Just ask anyone with some kind of insight in football financials like @slbsn

The quality of the squad will get clearer in the 2nd half of the season when we integrate the new players and Rodri has several months under his belt. I expect at least 5-6 of the relatively new players (counting those signed in January as well) to be starters come January: Donna, Khusa, RAN, Reijnders, Marmoush/Cherki and Gonzalez. We may sign a RB in January, if Pep hasn't found a solution by then (Khusa?).

I wouldn't swap our squad for Liverpool's or Arsenal's. Liverpool are very reliant on VVD (34) and Salah (33) and are a bit short on options at CB. We have a better spine than Arsenal. A lot of work is needed, though. Whether we can compete this season is anyone's guess. It will be difficult, as we are likely to drop many points before Christmas. Maybe we will have more of a chance in the CL.

I agree with this.
When any team makes a decision to switch to high-potential, young players, there is a risk. Usually, we would phase in such a young group, but we didn't, and we know the reason behind it.
It will take time to blend and the sooner we string some positive results together the better. We have an unusually high number of players injured, or in recovery from injury, and that stalls progress of the group.
We are also trying to tweak the way we play to become faster in attacking transitions, and that takes time too, and is somewhat alien to recent evidence.
Good luck to all.

One things for sure,

Wissa and Isak are a pair of c***s

Hope they both flop.
Not sure Isak is gonna flop in that Liverpool side, he's a massive upgrade of Nunez and I just can't see how he doesn't score goals for them. Wissa on the other hand has big boots to fill and that might be too much.

Our window has left a bit to be desired tbh and thats putting it politely. I think we've largely signed some good players who have potential to be great players for us but only time will tell. We are a couple of defensive player injuries away from a nightmare.
