It's Quiet the £250m return

You are allowed to blame the club too.

There would have been some outside factors for sure, but the club have made poor decision after poor decision.

Our wing options are horrendous, we’ve spent 150 million on a Rodri partner/rotation and we’re still no closer. We have no rb, having to rely on a failed midfielder to play there. Too many of the players on stupid contract lengths and looking to extend some who are not good enough, not to mention the bizarre Savinho situation. I still think the club showed a lack of ambition in the window again, if Cherki and Reijnders cost what they should of I doubt we would of got them.

All you have to do is listen to Rodri’s and Haalands recent interviews, they are clearly not happy with something, I’m certain Haaland didn’t sign a ten year contract with the promise of Doku/Savinho/Nunes spamming crosses into the box for him. There’s a reason why fans are starting to worry about Rodri not signing an extension.

As if a City supporter actually typed this out.

Cherki has played 71 minutes in the Premier League. You need to give him more time before you assess the player. Judging him on his transfer value is not very smart, particularly as Lyon were in financial difficulties in the Summer.

Mate you must have seriously misunderstood my post. I haven’t judged Cherki, I can’t wait until he comes back although he is another prospect player, he’s full of talent.

I mentioned him in questioning the clubs ambition. If he cost what he should have (70-80) I don’t think we would of got him.

So you think we've got a massive bargain then?

I’m ok with Khusanov at RB he’s quick and committed. Reminds me of Zaba the way he smashes people but always wins the ball.

Ok he might not be great at that final delivery but I think people massively overrated Walkers final ball. He was obviously a great player for us though.

Maybe we need a CB if that’s the case but that relies on us shifting Nunes and he seems to be favoured over Lewis at the moment. I guess there is an argument that Lewis should be moved into CM eventually. Khusanov-Dias-Josko-O’Reilly looked a really balanced backline when they played together.

Whilst there aren’t any viable options in the market we have the best coach to get the best out of players playing out of position. As most players we sign have to be of a certain quality it does work most of the time.

Rumours Inter want to make the Akanji deal permanent which is good for us, apparently had a fine start to life there.
Makes sense, he’s a great player. Got to remember we’ve been at the very top for years when he was here and was expecting to excel in Pep’s system.

I think there buy option was if he played over 50% of games and they won the league so still possible they get him on the cheap

I think we've signed some very good, exciting young players with unlimited potential for bargain prices. Khusanov, Cherki, Bah and Reis not to mention Nypan. If only a couple reach their full capacity then we are well set for the future.
and even if they don't reach the level we'd hope there's a high chance they'll get to a level where we can sell them on at a profit

Yes, that’s obvious isn’t it? I’m just questioning if he had cost what he should of would we have got him…
several things happened

Lyon are debt ridden, needed cash ASAP or they would be relegated to ligue 2, he also had like 2 years left on his contract

if Lyon would not be debt ridden and didn't need the cash, they could easily would've got something like 60-70mil

Much as I loved Kyle for his defensive skills, and his amazing ability to recover situations that were beyond most mortals, his final ball was none existent!

Not according to some of this lot here. If the club was a living entity, it would shit sunshine, rainbows, and sweets.

Now then, yes support the club and love the club. If they fuck up it is ok to acknowledge it. Same with the players, support them and don't slate them unnecessarily. But, it's ok to give fair criticism.

I look at it like this, I love my kids. I always will love them no matter what. However, if they do something stupid it is ok for me to say, "You did something stupid." Or, if they come home from school and they receive bad marks on an exam because they didn't prepare well enough, they need to do better and I can tell them to do better. It does not mean I am against them.
Honestly after winning the treble our down fall could’ve been so much worse. Look at Barcelona for instance. I’m so grateful the people at the top are trying to rectify the situation properly rather than going the lazy route & spending hundreds of millions on superstars or “the next big thing”.
