Why would his dad go to the effort of a lawyer supported statement announced to world media that the clause is a load of bollocks and he CAN leave for FREE - NOW ... then just to say "but he's staying another year"

They've just released a statement clearly indicating they're leaving.
It was a response to La Liga backing up Barca in demanding that a €700m release clause is still in place.
Jorge Messi met with lawyers this morning before releasing the statement.
La Liga respond with a statement that basically says "nah mate".
And now, not half an hour later, some of you think they've given in?

Sky sports (I know, I know) just reported that reluctantly Messi will see his contract out for the season then leave next year for free :/
If he is staying why are the Messi camp writing letters saying the €700m release clause is not applicable? Makes no sense.
