I find this hilarious after the clubs voted against 5 subs for next season. That rule was perfect for promoting the inclusion of (mainly homegrown) youth. If they truly gave a shit about homegrown players developing they’d have approved that rule change

Perhaps make it so that the two extra subs can only be u21 players?

Aren't clubs already paying a huge premium for English players? Their wages and transfer fees would skyrocket if the league imposes this. That or fans would just feck off and follow a different league.
