Not sure.

The obvious bit where he said he's happy with what he already has suggests we might not bring anyone else in.
He says every season he's happy with the players he's got.So he should in case the players he got stay. Doesn't mean some won't change.

I seen a stat today saying VVD has made more mistakes than Stones & Maguire since 2018, guess we won't here much of that in the press.

Stones is quality 100% but needs to clear his head

I hope he stays but good luck to him

Intresting if he leaves do we need to go & buy English??

VVD is either going downhill or his "king of the world" attitude is catching up with him

There was a comparison with Kuolibaly recently which mentioned that VVD had been dribbled past 9 times in just 15 attempts last season. To be fair, more than twice as many people tried to dribble past Koulibaly (11 failures in 33), so it may be that VVD doesn't give opponents as much opportunity, but it suggests he's far from the invincible wall he's made out to be.

It's complicated to buy when you've got the talent we already have. Just my opinion, but in a lot of positions we have so many high quality players, that I imagine it is hard to add more without selling.

Was talking to someone yesterday about the 9 position as an example. We need someone who is prepared to sit on the bench when Kun is fit, not demand to play every game, but also be better than Jesus and be even more consistent than Jesus in his goal scoring. It's just not that simple.

My worry with Auoar is simply that I don't want anyone signed in CM until it's established what Phil's role will be. For me he's an 8, and adding Torres means we will need him less in the front 3. If we're going to play Phil/KDB a lot, then we don't need another midfielder unless we're selling one IMO.

Why would a new number 9 have to sit on the bench when Aguero is fit? The simple fact is Aguero is the wrong side of his peak now. He’s certainly lost pace and mobility. He’s a legend here but that doesn’t mean he should be guaranteed a start, Silva wasn’t last year.

When he is fit is also going to be an issue since he’s always had 2/3 injuries a season and he’s now coming off the back of a meniscus knee injury at 32.

Scoring goals when it really matters in big games is still a big problem for us. Big ask for Torres to come in and improve the first 11 straight away. We need a top forward to improve the first 11 just as much as a right Centre back for me.

You could maybe paper over some of the other cracks (Left back, lack of Power, pace & mobility in centre midfield) with a top forward who makes the difference and bags 30+.

So, today spurs Could announce a double signing bale and the fullback and dippers thiago (who has tweeted his good bye)

Meanwhile, city

I trust the club know what we are doing and moved quickly for Ake and Torres, but it's human nature to feel a bit frustrated that all our signings are not in before season starts, who would immediately improve our XI namely CB.

Coz the new signing will naturally take time to settle.

Spurs signing Bale is undeniably gobsmacking for me, don't know enough about the fullback to comment but their deficiencies go way beyond any holes those two will fill. I can't even imagine how Jose is going to play Bale given his usual recent style(Jose s that is).

Ake and Torres improve our squad without a doubt whereas I just can't see how Thiago improves the Dippers. He seems so unsuited to the way they play, I can't see Klipperty changing things to suit him. Have you not wondered why Bayern sold him for just £20mill regardless of 'just' 1 year left on his contract? Bayern don't do favours for anyone.

Chelsea have been quite impressive for my money but if our new signings take time to settle how the hell are they going to manage?

It certainly isn't, Stanley!

Pep being ultra defensive in his comments also.

We have seen how quickly the Bale deal moved once there is a consensus.

I just cant see the Messi deal happening, not this window maybe January but not this window, Bartomeu is still there hes said he dosent want messi to leave and keeps saying about the buyout clause. I just cant see this dea going through. Barca seem as well as if they dont want to even talk to another club about Messi.
