There isn't enough goals in a Jesus, Foden, Mahrez, Torres, Sterling forward line if we want to win the major trophies going forward. The most prolific out of that group is Sterling, who scores 1 out of every 4 big chances at most. Imagine if we had a forward who puts 3 out of 4 chances away. That's what we need and have needed for a year and a half. We'll pay the price this season big time, as shown yesterday.

And 2 strikers for a 50 plus game season is simply not enough

This is where we see if the dippers have depth in their squad, no Mane , Thiago or Alisson today for them against Villa. Alisson apparently out for 4 to 6 weeks

Im not saying get rid of Pep im hoping this is just a minor slump etc but both teams hes manages have suffered in his final season like the teams dont want to play for him.

Barca was different and continued to be successful after he went under Villanova.Bayern won everything in his last season.This is probably the first time he’s been in place to transition a team from breaking records and winning trophies and build it again.
Can he do it, remains to be seen but think we’ve bought some good players, still have to replace Aguero and Fernandinho next summer, plus get a left back which is looking more like another window.
I think we’ll do okay this season ,top 1 or2 and a cup but the real test will be if he extends and we go next season with a completely rebuilt, young team. I’m hoping he stays and we get the chance to bein the stadium to watch it.

The covid situation has prevented all teams from having a proper pre-season. We aren't alone in that.

I bet Leicester had players that weren't fully match fit. They even had their best midfielder out. Still scored 5 goals past us.

What I've said is that it's not like our form has had a huge drop off, it's the same as last season with the same problems.

I have given my opinion as to why we have problems. LB is just one of them and I think CM is a far bigger problem as it caused problems last season not just this.

I'm not a cheerleader for the club. If I see a problem I'll say it.

I said last season that not getting a younger Fernandinho type player will cause problems and I'll say it again.

I'm hopeful Delap is convincing Pep he has what it takes to lead the line

It didn't exactly go to plan taking off Ferny for Delap when we were drawing 1-1 last week!

Delap scored a good goal in his first game and I hope the lad does well, but he's likely to be introduced gradually. IMO he was anonymous against Leicester and the swap was one of the reasons we lost so badly.

You need to pay attention. She clearly said 7 players out and no strikers. As for your comment on her name change, that's beyond pathetic.

This season appears to have picked up from the last. Same problems. Pretty much the same players in the starting 11 except for dias and losing Dave. The other two signings are not starters. I expect we’ll drop off further. The strength of the squad dictates that. Pep leaving or committing to stay is the only thing that at this point will change anything.

We were being overrun well before Fernandinho left. Mahrez off for Delap was worth a try yesterday rather than bringing on Fernandinho who didnt add much. We clearly lasted better than Leeds yesterday and finished the game well on top - having a target in the middle could have paid dividends.
