All the reports have been that Messi has refused to speak to Bartomeu, he's made up his mind etc. All media speculation of course, but it doesn't sound like there have been any talks with Messi and Barca. If he speaks out now I think it will be to explain his decision and appease the fans.

If he speaks out to say he's leaving then I don't see him going back on that! Hopefully it will be a very positive sign for us!

Well...we have volunteers for planewatch...volunteers for Salford Quays watch but the question is...have we anyone on billboard watch!!!
 
Leaving aside whether this happens or not and leaving aside how much of a transfer fee we can afford the fact that he is a considering us and b it seems basically us or stay where he is and c the fact we can afford his wages alone shows how far we have come a club.

Many on this forum have criticised or said they do not see the value of CFG but if the Messi to city then New York or and perhaps him getting a stake in a new club or possible new MLS Franchise for at a discount like Beckham. Not to mention no doubt a lot of CFG sponsors are being talked to to help sort this out.

I would also add that this window is looking like putting to bed any criticism of Tixi Yes many of the CFG signing have not really worked out for us at least but we have made good money and yes we have struggled at CB and yes many of our best players have been pre Tixi but We have had good fees for players over the years that we have not wanted anymore Negrado Navas etc and we have used the CFG system to our advantage Mooy Lampard
