TH does not know, NOBODY knows the figures involved , not even Messi, not even BARCA.

This is a unique situation, you think Messi would come for the fun of it? You think Barca would just let him walk and join us for free?

This will blow our budget and change our plans that have probably been in the pipeline for months.

Just stop inventing calamitous scenarios.

Why would Messi blow our budget?

His salary is £64m a season. We already know sponsors have been lined up to cover costs, just like Juventus did with Ronaldo, JEEP gave them €25m more per season. Allianz went from paying €7m to €10.5m for 10 seasons. Adidas paid them an extra €27m every season.

We already know the club is looking for a new main sponsor.

We know Messi is going to bring a ton of money with him, from shirt sales, new fans, existing endorsements.

We know Khaldoon isn't likely to make a bad financial decision, based on his running of the club for the past 10 years.

You're working yourself into this panic over absolutely nothing. We're going to fix our existing issues, get Koulibaly, maybe Aouar, maybe a LB, and then anything to do with Messi will be on top of all that.

What ever happened to the chap who used to work for Uefa, now works for Liverpool and is the first to be contacted when we make signings?

Juventus are having to sell players and release players to cover there costs, so what sponsors? Jeep, Fiat? all club owners money!

The club is looking for a new sponsor and have been for years , not found one, and this week "rumours" Etihad will continue, why , because we can't find anyone to pump 60m a season into us, that's why! We are not looked on in a positive light as a club, the UEFA, Hateful 8 etc campaign has worked to a degree, we are the black sheep of football, which despite been a disgrace is a problem for us.

And I ask you this question. IF Messi signs and we are unable to sign a LB, CM and LW would you be happy?
