Is there any reason why Barca can’t agree to waive Bartomeu liability in exchange for a resignation? He’d surely agree to that to get out of the potential liability, wouldn’t he? Then they bring in Laporta and he has to lead cleaning up the mess but keeps Messi?

They'll probably let you trade it in for a Messi 10 or Aguero shirt with his new number. They did when Aguero went from 16 to 10 IIRC.
