Totally agree with this last paragraph from the Sam Wallace article (Telegraph). Posted link in the other thread

There were some things the Abu Dhabi money simply could not buy, City were often told, and at times that was proved correct. But what Messi’s arrival says, more perhaps even than winning the Champions League this month would have done, is that anything is possible. For City, for Abu Dhabi, that feels like the whole purpose of the enterprise – the proverbial shining city built in the desert. Besides, a club win the Champions League every year – only one in history will have the opportunity to take Messi from Barcelona.
This is why it's so important for City to get this over the line. We then show that we can attract any player in the world which takes us to another level globally.

Just imagine how deep some teams will sit, especially Newcastle.

There are games now where our DM ends up marking our opponents furthest player forward.

That is the massive issue for the opposition..say for example the dippers would normally set 2 against our wide men to stop them...with messi in the team they cannot do that

He would open up countless opportunities not just for himself but for others

Testing is 09:15am UK time so he has 20mins still to show up. If he’s not there by 10:30 I’d suggest he’s a no show. Fingers crossed.

My worry is ffp.
We’ve just dodged a bullet and it sounds like we’re sticking our head down the barrel.
It might not be a rule now, but they can soon change that, they have before and we got fucked in the arse.
I think we have to trust the club... one thing’s for sure, they’re no stupid
