I don't think it will drag on too long. Barca need to rebuild that squad. Dragging this out will only take energy away from what's required there and loosing him from the wage bill will impact the money they can spend so they need to know sooner rather than later, otherwise it only gets worse for them. His minds made up on the move, he wouldn't have gone this far if he wasn't sure. Bartomeu's play was obvious. He might change his mind, you never know, but with the current board still there nothing will have changed so why would he stay?

I think maybe they're trying to push him to get to Barcelona training on Monday and hoping that that will start to tug at him and potentially change his mind. Alternatively trying to make it so that he refuses to train and looks the bad guy.

Either way I think it's got great potential to backfire. Every day he's made to train or play in Barca colours he'll be doing it under duress, it would make you furious.

This is a guy that will still be the greatest player of all time when we’re on death’s door. And he will have worn the City shirt. You will want a nice, visual memory of that, trust me. Occasional lurker here but have tuned in the last few days to follow the hype.

First thing my girlfriend said to me this morning was:

Yesterday at work there was a customer trying on a bracelet to see whether she wanted to buy it. Girlfriend was answering her questions when another customer came and asked for help which distracted her. She turned back after to the other lady and she was nowhere in sight. Started panicking that the lady had run off with said bracelet. She asked the other customer who had distracted her if she saw where the woman went.

Customer said no, but I saw that Aguero changed his Instagram handle from KunAguero10 to KunAguero.

I literally looked at my girlfriend stunned for a second lol then burst out laughing! All the shit I've been saying the last few days has obviously sunk in!

In theory, he becomes a bit redundant if Messi arrives, but Pep has never hid away from having top players outside the team & lets them go, if they ask.

I imagine he will get his chance to prove himself with Meessi, too.

We have 2 months and 4 or 5 competitive games for Pep to work out who fits where and for any players to see which direction things are heading and seek a move if they want.
