The former Bolton player? That’ll be Luis Suarez’s tea
You can believe alfredo martinez over pretty much everyone.Absolutely Tier 1.Different outlets spinning it differently.
Bluemoon: Why are there two topics on this?
Probably relaxing with his family and a glass of wine and not giving a f**k about the needy.
In fairness that was what had been predicted since this meeting was first mentioned. If Messi is adamant on leaving and everything he's done (the fax, not training etc) indicates he is, then it looks like this is about to get interesting.
My concern about the meeting was that Barca would offer the world to try and get him to stay. Assuming that hasn't happened, I can't see what would have changed for Messi to want to carry on there.
Presumably the exit clause did have a June date on it, otherwise no further discussion would be needed. So despite his final contract seemingly designed to allow Messi to depart at his discretion Barca are holding him captive on a technicality.
Why destroy the goodwill between club and player? Bartomeu is desperate for money.
Frankly offering Messi a 2 year extension under these circumstances is bizarre.
The question is how much we are prepared to give them.
