Spends 3-4 days to prepare a statement to La Liga about leaving for Free and now suddenly decides he is staying and that the statement was just about "ego's". If that's true, Lionel Messi can fuck right off.

Key word being IF before some of you jump down my throat.
 
Call me cynical but after Messi’s camp releases a letter stating the €700m release clause no longer applies, there is a flood of stories saying Messi is staying. Yeah, right.
 
My back bet at 10 for him to come to City will get matched soon with all these reports saying he's staying, seems to be a daily cycle, could probably make some money off it.

Only if there is no 700m release clause. Laliga seem pretty sure it stands so you have to be careful. I’d love to see that contract ...
 
Only City fans can be conditioned in such a way that;

Messi meeting with his agent and lawyer for 3 hours before issuing a statement in which he categorically states La Liga are wrong regarding his contract, providing the exact wording used and telling them to keep out of his business can be overshadowed by some random no mark whispers originating with TyC, Barto’s mouthpiece.

It’s like we all have Stockholm syndrome and hang on the presses every word as soon as it’s not in City’s favour.

Sky now reporting he has decided to stay and is currently filming an interview
 
Could be part of the bluff he is playing with BFC. IE accept a small fee now and let me go. or have me stay when i clearly want to leave still pay my wages and get nothing in 9mths time. Does seem odd to release that statement about his contract. At 34 he is unlikley to be as good as he is now. i think as a club in our position we might not feel the need to have him then. but who knows.

Messi’s camp said ‘I have no idea which contract you have seen but here’s the exact wording’

La Liga can suck a fat one, they operate in dangerous waters. They are an administrator who believe they are a gatekeeper. They rejected Neymar’s buyout clause, absolute cowboys.
