I don’t doubt what you say for a second. I jus5 hope that the guy is wrong as I think Haaland would significantly add to this team.
 
Haha! Shows how batshit the transfer forum is when highly respected and long standing forum members are getting grief for posting something which I have no doubt is in good faith, even if it's not what we want to hear.
I'd still personally be inclined to believe if Haaland is available we will be balls deep but it's not beyond the realms of possibility we decide against it.

I think not getting Haaland would be a huge mistake. At some point the club will have to go out and pay big bucks for a player and I feel this is the best opportunity

If it’s true that you heard something from a top source (which anyone can say, and the fact you are an old member with many posts may add credibility in the eyes of some, but as a journalist, I’ve been down this road too many times to be fooled by this), it’s pretty obvious that you misunderstood what they said. There isn’t a scenario in which we let go of Aguero and don’t sign an adequate replacement because Pep has decided that strikers are useless and false 9s are better. This is pure insanity and as someone who follows Pep closely since his first year at Barcelona first team, I can guarantee you this ranks up there with the Queen being an extraterrestrial reptilian in terms of insane theories. You also mentioned something about Foden being a future star etc, which has nothing to do with anything?!?! His role in the team is not going to be of a false 9 to substitute strikers. Listen to Pep, pay attention to what his decisions have been throughout the years and the reasons behind them before making or believing stupid statements

Don't disagree, I'd be a bit gutted if we are not in the running due to our own lack of interest.
My point is that Rascal doesn't have form for wumming and it's not, in my mind, such a stretch to believe what he's reporting, even if it's not what I want to hear.
I hope his contact is wrong.

I think it's the fact that literally every source is saying we are in for him, yet he, who has never claimed to be itk about anything before, says exactly the opposite. Kind of hard to believe.

Yeah, I believe that if it is false that it’s just a communication error rather than wumming. There’s obviously a lot of time left until the transfer window so right now anything is plausible

You're a journalist? Well that explains a few things..
Rascal gets a bit of credibility due to the fact he's a diehard blue who's put the hard yards in over the years following the club. It might be proved to be wrong what he's said but I've no doubt it has been posted in good faith.
 
Does anyone really believe that we will go into next season with Jesus being the only striker? I mean, seriously? It’s not “not what we want to hear”, as someone said above. It’s simply so stupid that unless we are all collectively sniffing cocaine, it can’t be believed

I don't belive for one second we go into next season with only Jesus as a striker. I also don't believe Rascal would say what he has if its not information that's genuinely been passed onto him.
Time will tell.
