I was watching a TV show last night, high brow stuff on something or other, I forget what, of course. But it introduced us to a guy called Samaras, oh yeah, artist in the 60's.

Anyway, his name is pronounced Sa-marr-rass.

Emphasis on the first and last syllable. SAMarRASS.

Made me think. Did anyone ever check if we were pronouncing Georgi's name wrong?
