If Kane, Kaka, Sanchez & Jorginho aren't signed by 4pm today I want Tolmie's head on a stick.
Or as @FantasyIreland would say -Why does @theone91 (fungus)always win the argument? Because he/she doesn’t leave mushroom for debate.
Only messing, I think you are a fungi ;)
I think it’s safe to say we have been spoilt over the years.Remember the days when we had;
Aguero
Tevez
Dzeko
Balo
I‘ve also been watching the goals we scored in the Centurions season….we were ruthless and goals flew in from every angle. It seems so strange to see our team not scoring as many now even if we are still top scorers. I’m not saying our current squad isn’t as strong as the Centurions just that the finishing seems to be otherworldly then, looking back only a few years.
Yes certainly in terms of strikers and particularly Aguero.I think it’s safe to say we have been spoilt over the years.
What if we still have wiggle room in our valuation budget but, knowing Levy was always going to wait until the 11th hr, we are keeping that in reserve?Ok the way I see it, we have been talking with Spurs for ages and Kane is the top target. It looks like we have a price that we are willing to pay but either Spurs have moved the goal posts or we were just way off on our valuation of Harry. Other strikers are now being linked, but I don’t believe these rumours, I believe if we don’t get Kane we will go without (big mistake if that’s the case as we have been sussed out a bit). If we don’t get a striker I think the league will be hard but we may do well in Europe again (but not win it). So it’s not the end of the world but does look like bad planning. I also believe Bernie will leave :( and Laporte will be shown the door. So this will mean we have a couple of places in the squad next summer or in the January window. Coupled with that I think Sandler will leave either on loan or permanently as he is too good to not play regularly and I think Delap (when he is fit) will get a loan to see if he is good enough (no doubting his scoring but his sendings off may be a concern and he has had a few minor injuries) - this loan will make or break his chances of making it here. I also see us selling Doyle as I don’t think he fits in our team.
There is that as well. But I think we will still be too far apart. Our execs are pretty shrewd and don’t think it will be anywhere near 150 mil that we are willing to go to. I am probably wrong!What if we still have wiggle room in our valuation budget but, knowing Levy was always going to wait until the 11th hr, we are keeping that in reserve?
