The cynic in me thinks that media hacks need something to keep the masses glued to their twitter and what not as its the last day of of pure click baiting.
It's quite surprising that people still fall for it but desperation does strange things to people.

Sporting has been wanting to sell him for months to bank on their title winning squad. What has changed is that we have lost a left back now

He's had one proper year of senior football, but an impressive one at Sporting. Made the national squad, and the club's initial stance was he's only for sale at his release clause of €60m. So we were not interested. It's clear their goal was to sell him, so they're rushing final day to get some money in.

We should have done this, but as it stands we probably won't do anything.

Bernat injured and Kurzawa is likely leaving on a loan. They started Diallo, it's a very easy deal for them. If we were serious we'd pounce on the opportunity.
