It’s the sort of question that gets asked when someone is always pissing and moaning about players we look likely to sign, believing any old populist shite regurgitated by know-nothings.

I have no such feelings because I support my club - if a player will improve my club then I’ll support that player. His haircut, the way he talks, or if he fouls other players, none of that bothers me.

What if you don’t like any of our squad or the manager? What then? Would you still support the club? Or is this just a soap opera for you?
Politely fuck off

I accept that he’d be loved by the MLS but that doesn’t answer the question.

The point I was referring to was a statement that said that, if we got Messi, his huge signing on bonus and a portion of his huge wages could be deferred until he went to NYCFC and then paid to him through NYCFC.
My though was that the salary cap (which is in fact a control system that annualises all cost involved in purchasing / employing / rewarding players) could frustrate such an intention.

So, as loved as he would surely be in the MLS, could NYCFC pay him £150+million per annum (deferred salary & signing on fee + agents fee and actual salary & signing on fee + agents fee)?
Would the other clubs in the MLS drag the MLS through the courts if they ripped up the rules to allow NYCFC to pay whatever they wanted to Messi?

I kinda doubt it because, to my mind, it would be directly at odds with the salary cap system.
However, I’ll be delighted if someone who knows how the system would deal with such a situation could please explain.

As I previously understood it, teams can have two players outside the designated salary cap?

Why Galaxy could pay Beckham and Ibrahimovic the huge sums they did.

Same went for Lampard and David Villa at NYCFC.

Beckham's own team Inter Miami are proposing deals to Messi and Ronaldo, so think can assume the MLS make allowances.

Good player but they would want a fortune for him.
I could see us picking up an experienced specialist overlapping LB to complement Zinchenko’s inside full back style on the cheap. A solid 7 who would be willing to rotate. Someone like Gaya, Tagliafico or even Bertrand on a free. Or Grimaldo from Benfica if we fancied spending a little more.
Domestically, and looking at more long term potential options, the kid at Palace, Mitchell, has had a really good season but just signed a new deal. Justin at Leicester can play on either side and was great before his injury and Robinson at Fulham (another right footer who plays on the left) had a promising debut year in the premier league, though whether he will be good enough for us I’m not entirely convinced.
i was just thinking of tagliafico, he reminds me in a way of zabba

What sort of fucking question is that ? I just cant stand either of them, i would be underwhelmed , they are both cheats , kane is dirty and you cant like everyone , i didnt like nasri and i have never warmed to ky , it is what it is
i was like that with bellamy couldnt stand the ****,however over time i grew to like his cuntishness, am with you on nasri, although i didnt not like him ,i just could never warmed to him, it still gives me nightmares when he let the ball run out v qpr thinking it was our throw in :)
