I think the times of teams being a step up from City, are gone now. They've got no money, certainly not the revenue that the EPL pay our clubs, and we now see them struggle, while the EPL teams basically dominate the UCL. I can't really think of a reason why a player who is not Spanish, would want to leave us for La Liga.Longevity not guaranteed with Haaland pal, he could easily do a Sane on us. In fact even if he did come to us I think he’d also want to go Real/Barca etc a bit later down the line. Just my opinion but reckon he’s probably more a Ronaldo type than Messi
It was different with Sane, he wanted to be the poster boy of the major team in is homeland.
