There isn't that much talk tbf. And there isn't a main player affected by it that it would unsettle (Jesus maybe, but he isn't really first choice for the final at the moment).

IF City want Kane, I am sure both parties are talking to each other and City were well aware Kane was going public with wanting to leave and again City were happy for him to do it.

All part of the negotiations with Spurs, I am sure Spurs know how much we are prepared to pay.

True. But is pretty much inevitable. If it wasn't Kane, it would be Messi. If it wasn't Messi, might he Haaland. If it wasnt any of them, would be 'who next' with a whole batch of names thrown about.

Kane in many way is the best player to have that noise about. In the sense that he is a striker and everyone knows Sergio is leaving. Better than were it a new winger, midfielder, left-back etc.

The narrative is that he will replace Sergio, who has been known to leave for months now. Therefore squad-harmony shouldn’t be affected by an ear-marked replacement for a vacant spot. Maybe it is already decided that Jesus goes the other way, meaning he will already be ”unsettled”.

I think that if the same noice would come from buying Grealish then that would potentially unsettle the squad.
