So.

Is the striker situation starting to look a bit shaky? Starting to look like we are either going to be taken to the cleaners by Levy, who really doesn't wanna sell kane if they get a top manager like Conte, or settle for a less than exciting option like Andre Silva.
Is it? how have you come to that ?

I marvel at the way that people write about Levy. Khaldoon is light years away from I would say every other chairman/chief executive in European football and if anything, he's the guy who should have the reputation as the shrewdest operator in football.

Bought a football club, and in ten years turned it into the best in the league. As he keeps saying, look at the balance sheets, look at the trophies. We're so well run it is truly absurd at times that this is the same Manchester City that I grew up with.
Khaldoon operates on a level far removed from any other football club chairman. In one of his many other roles he was in negotiation with Liz Truss recently sorting out a free trade agreement between the UK & the UAE.

Most other chairmen are on the level of Peter Swales when measured against him.

Indeed.

I feel like Khaldoon fully understands how not important football is on the list of important things in life. Hence he can think positively after most set backs, and can bring the words of calm that anxious guys like Pep need.

She was busy opening up Blue Cheese markets?

It was a strong tone. Very strong.

It always is to be fair.

Wasn't that long ago he declared Lopes and Denayer were definitely going to be first team players the next season and neither made it through the preseason tour before being sold/loaned.

Things don't always go to plan.

He's a major player in this story. You won't find many other club chairmen operating at this altitude.

I liked the bit when Emanuel said, "We went to watch Manchester City - can't remember who they were playing. It was Real Madrid or Barcelona, someone like that." :-)
