It's time to ban drums from the Etihad

Absolutely dont reall that during the game either it wasnt allowed or @uwerosler28 was right and we drowed it out
I was there and didn't hear any drum, mind you I can't remember what I did 5 minutes ago.

Anyway I'm with the "fuck the drums off" camp as my hearing is fucked with tinnitus probably from having the sex pistols on too loud in the motor back in the day on the way to away games or live concerts or even loud football games for years.

Yes ban the drums so we can all sit in total lifeless silence.
That didn’t happen against Napoli (the last home CL game without a drum) nor the last two years where we’ve not been letting away fans in with drums.

We’ve all been commenting in those two years about how much easier to get going and better our atmospheres have been on CL nights, and how much more enjoyable being in attendance on CL nights have been.

why would we ban drums? I'd have someone in 1894 bring a drum in too!
That would be a fucking awful to listen to. One drum is shit, never mind two annoying as fuck drums being smashed to fuck to different beats and tempos thirty feet away from each other. It’d sound terrible. It’s be like Oasis’ gig at the Whisky A Go Go where they were all playing different songs at the same time because they’d all being doing Crystal Meth.

I’d rather try and shove a drum stick up my Jap’s Eye while doing Crystal Meth, than that happen.

...stand on the fence on the matter why don't you? ;-)

The club are always looking to go that extra mile to make the match day experience special. Drums, trumpets, symbols are all great additions but they need to take things to the next level. Issue every kid who enters the stadium a vuvuzela, bingo! What an atmosphere.

Imagine the joy of listening to a noise that’s louder than a chainsaw for two hours!
Come on City, you know it makes sense.

2010 was when I decided that the world cup needs to be binned off. That was the worst watch on the telly. Can't imaging what it was like being there.

Film it and send it in to you've been framed!

If it's the German way to enjoy a game, they shoud keep it to themselves and not export it.

I thought, when we played Dortmund, that if I had to listen to that bloody racket at every game, I would stop going if I lived there.

Tonight convinced me
Were there not Germans there watching the match yesterday?

I’m for the drums. A few league one and two teams use them well, drums up an atmosphere and is much more fun than the premier league these days.

Not to mention, any noise is better than no noise.

You are not allowed in the ground with something bigger than A4 size...
But...if you have a MASSIVE DRUM its fine
Fucking sort it City it's a joke !
They'll have rules for the away section it's not like they sneaked it in.
There will have been conversations between the clubs, involving their "ultras" about what was permitted
Just because it's not "English" doesn't make it wrong - remember the Poznan.

That’s two games I’ve come home from with an headache due to the idiots with drums and loudhailers can’t see how they can watch the game whilst performing totally ruin any chance of an atmosphere same at Palace watching football whilst some prat with a drum entertains themselves with bang bang bang is not for me
But it is for them.
A world where everyone is exactly the same would be feckin tedious

The first time they've banned the Drum was vs Bayern in the QF during the treble season.

I thought this was one of the best decisions the club ever made, and made European Nights far more enjoyable, and helped our atmosphere out massively. This is something that fans seem to have unanimously agree on.

Only City would take a decision as successful and well received as that, and completely reverse it.

Once again proof that the people in charge really are clueless.
What do you propose? Drums allowed for certain matches but not others?

From any football ground. They sound terrific in a band but not an incessant bang noise for 90 minutes in a football ground.
They should only be allowed to bring a kick drum if they also bring a snare. It would be nice if they could get a groove going. Maybe some breakbeat. The Gemans start to sound like a 2 Unlimited Greatest Hits album after 10 minutes.
