It's time to ban drums from the Etihad

Got my first ever visit to Edgeley Park next month, as a guest of a mate, who cheerfully tells me there’s a young lad in the stand who’s there as a drummer “so there’ll be plenty of atmosphere”.
What joy.
I was at Edgeley Park in April. You will have fun.

It occurs to me (but I have a suspicious mind) that City might be testing the water to see if a drum would be welcome as part of their desired 'wall of noise' in the new stand.

How about we start our own drums at the stadium?? We must have at least 1 good drummer as a fan.

Anything's gotta be better than the bell.. (anyone remember the lady with the bell?)
Big Helen, a legend and don't ever compare that amazing woman to a drum wanker ever again

Honestly think the same as I've gotten older. The whole "ultras" vibe kind of loses its appeal when you're in your 30s and you can see the little conductor at the front telling the chorus what to sing next. It's about as organic as McDonalds.
European Ultra's have always been a puddle of anal seepage. Marches to grounds, twats with drums and complete arse badgers with mega-phones* all choreographed bobbins.

*other brands of Bull Horns are available

I really hate the incessant noise. It's not support it's just mindless drone. However, our support is even worse. Some City fans berate the club for adding some hospitality seats in the new North Stand but what do they do against Leverkusen? Just stand in stony silence for 90 minutes.
It’s the age old question?

Is it the job of the fans to get the players going ???

Or

Is it the job of the Players to get the Fans going???

Discuss ?? :0)

Even without a drum the Ultras would outsing us on the evidence of last night's pathetic home support.

Our CL crowds are not the same as our PL crowds. If the club banned drums again, like they did previously, it wouldn't make a difference to our non existent support on a CL night.

If you have travelled to the game by public transport and didn’t have time
To drop your bag off at a hotel for example or you nipped into town and bought some item before

When I've come straight from work with my laptop in a backpack
These both sound like 1st World Problems/excuses!!!

That could be easily avoided with a little bit of extra thought or planning ahead in my opinion???

IMO :0)

I’m off to Madrid in a couple of weeks travelling on the match day by plane from the UK, very early morning flight, with a carry on small rucksack,it never crossed my mind to, think that I would go to the game with it!!

So what if your plane landed 3 hours before the game?
I actually agree with what you say, but just giving reasons as to why it may happen.

Cmon then, tell me how if I am working til 7pm in my city centre office with no storage facilities I can apply extra thought or planning so that I don't have to bring my laptop to the ground with me for an 8pm kickoff when the next day I'm working in a different location? Should I make it magically disappear?

Talking out of your arse mate
