Now I know that City have not been linked with him but Mancini should take a look at him! A lot of player's have been called "the new Messi" or even the "new Ronaldo" but how many player's have been compared to them both.

FROM WIKI
Juan Manuel Iturbe (born June 4, 1993) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Cerro Porteño. Son of Paraguayan parents and born in Argentina, Iturbe was eligible to play for either Paraguay or Argentina, having played at youth levels for both. He has recently declared his will to play for Argentina by stating that Paraguay is a closed chapter in his life. He plays as a forward and his talent and style of play has been repeatedly compared to Lionel Messi.

Club Career
Iturbe started playing first team football with Cerro Porteño on June 28, 2009, at age 16, on a game against Libertad valid for the 21st week of the Paraguayan Primera División.

Being 17 years of age, Iturbe was not under professional contract with Cerro Porteño.[3] Therefore, he signed for Quilmes on a free transfer in August 2010.[4] In January 2011 Iturbe confirmed he was signing with Portuguese club FC Porto, he will join the team when he turns 18.[5] After agreeing on said move to FC Porto, he returned to Cerro Porteño in February, where he will remain until his 18th birthday in June. He scored a brace on his first Copa Libertadores game shortly after that.[6]

International career
Having spent most of his life in Paraguay, Iturbe began his international career in the youth setup of Paraguay. At the age of 16 he was capped in a senior friendly against Chile in 2009 [1], however as this was a not a competitive game he could change allegiances if he wished. He later fell out with the management in Paraguay and declared for Argentina. [2] He was part of the Argentina "sparring" squad, formed by the most promising youth players in Argentina, taken to the 2010 FIFA World Cup to train with the senior squad. He also chose to play for Argentina at the U-20 level. He is on the 20 player squad for the 2011 South American U-20 South American championship in which he scored the winning goal against Brazil.

Should've done your homework. Already agreed to go to Porto for 1.5m euro's.

Plenty about him in here <a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=188844" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=10&t=188844</a>

Then off to OT it look's :(

I hope that City's scout are monitoring him closely.
I saw him tonight when he came for the last 25 minutes, and he didn't do anything special but I feel the guy have potential.

Even though he is only 18 years old, he wasn't hiding in the game and was asking for the ball everywhere.

How much has he played for Porto? Because he was in the top 6 of "Most disappointing transfers" for the Record newspaper in Portugal along with Bojinov, Defour, and Capdevila

Ha, we've only been raving about him on here for two years....

Easily the biggest prospect in world football. Unbelievable talent.

I might be wrong but I understand Man United have some sort of long standing arrangement with Iturbe and Porto. Apparently they were involved in his movement and I believe the goal is that he will eventually end up at Old Trafford. Something to do with United being able to buy him for allot less than anyone else and first dibs on signing him in the future.

yeah whatever mate. You should know that teams that are on the top and sustain success are tracking players for years before they sign them, If we want our success to last we need to be making deals for the future. United, Munich, Potro, Ajax, AC Milan, All the teams who have long periods of dominance in their respective leagues are scouting the world and constantly setting up deals for the future. What City are doing is great for now but if we want to make the most of our current standing we need to be sowing the seeds now for the future of the club

Well if you look at the date of the op, it was a while back its self.
actually Lucas Moura is the biggest prospect in world football right now

I think he didn't make 10 appearances yet !
So its very early to judge him IMO.

One thing I am sure the lad is not lacking which is confidence, he came on for the last 20 minutes last week and nobody asked for the ball more than him, he was everywhere asking for the ball.

He is not lacking pace also, I think he maybe faster than Bale.
Good technique, strong left foot, actually he is just joy to watch.

I dont take much notice in these biggest prospects, only about 1 in 20 who are the next best thing actually make it, and most just end up being journey men who move around 2nd rate clubs thinking they all can reassurect the potential. To much money not enough hunger.

No we're not. We're just lucky a large amount of scandinavian players succeeded in Amsterdam (Olsen, Petterson, Arnesen, Litmanen, Zlatan, Brian & Michael Laudrup, Eriksen. Boilesen, Fischer and Andersen are on their way). We've got 1 scout there whose letting clubs know Ajax is looking and receives most of the tips. Furtheron we're not that active.

If City wants to sustain a flow of juicy talents they should start profiling themselves in some part of the world. Especially Yugoslavia and Chile are of upcoming importance the next decade.

He's not been able to break into the team at Porto. He's still young though so I rate West Ham's chances of getting an option to buy as below 1%.

But do you think any of City's youngster is better than him ?
