He's been unbelievably stupid and naïve. He's a Premier league footballer, with just his basic wage packet he'd have been comfortably off, then you think about the add-ons these players are entitled to: bonuses, sponsorships etc - not a bad standard of living for a relatively young man. Why did he do it? I doubt he needs the money, notwithstanding that he won't be on the wedge that our lads, or utd's, or Chelsea's, will be on*. Is it simply a case of him being addicted to the "buzz"?
