I've Ditched Sky - What Are My Options?

Did it take long? Watchdog did an amusing interview with the SKY Cancellation Supremo last night and asked why it took most people an average of an hour to cancel if they could even get through to them in the first place!

I live in an area of extremely poor internet speeds. Am I stuck with Sky or are there any other reasonable alternatives?

Openbox/libertbox are decent, had mine since May and had no issues with it, best thing I ever bought and I can help anyone out of they need anything!!

Zgemma is what I'll upgrade to when I can be arsed

have a look at world of sttalite mate, i would recomend a a Solo2 as an update.

another alternative now is Plex Live streaming, aint used it myself but google plexflix

If you can take the dish with you then Freesat is probably a good bet, basically Freeview but better.

Having problems with my Openbox , all the channels other than freeview are saying scrambled ....any ideas anyone? I ve rebooted the router and doesn't appear to be any issues with any of the cables

I'm seriously tempted to pick up a T8, can't justify the price I am paying for Sky anymore. I was just wondering if anyone has taken the plunge. What channels does it come with? My broadband averages about 12Mbps in download tests, will this be enough to get a good service?

I have both Android and a Vu+ box, my android box gets more work, due to only really watching live sport, the rest i stream whatever i want to watch when, i want to watch it.

If you want nothing but seamless quality stay with sky, if a bit of messing about in less than hd is fine ditch the sky

Cheers. Have done a channel update both manually and through a scan, no joy, got someone coming out to look at it on Friday.

Sounds like it could be something to do with your line....

Go to CCcam config and check that your line says "Online", if it does then it will be the server that provided your line/subcsription/gift
