Jacinda Ardern

Considering in her 3 years of being PM she had had a baby, dealt with the Christchurch terror attack, the White Island volcanic eruption and now a global pandemic, she's pretty awesome.

Still doesn't stop the RWNJs calling her a 'pretty little communist' and wearing blue MAGA (Make Ardern Go Away) hats.

My only criticism of her is that NZ friends tell me that she has increased taxes on just about everything.

It’s a worldwide problem. Multinational companies are taking an increasing amount of the trade whilst not paying taxes in individual nations.

People in those countries began to feel the pinch following the financial crash in 2008 and it has crescendoed as the multinationals have prospered exponentially, allowing them to increase their prices, whilst wages have stagnated.

It’s not going to get any better until a worldwide taxation system of the multinational companies taxes them justly.

I see your point mate but whilst Jacinda has increased taxes our right wing government in Australia has significantly reduced taxes.
NZ is now a very expensive place to live.
That's probably why a million of them are over here lol

Although I also congratulate Australia PM Scott Morrison on his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
 
I already reckoned NZ is the most civilized society in the world, spent time there and was close to making it permanent. This woman has increased my regard for Kiwi land. She's been ending all her tv messages with "Be strong, be kind." Trying to think of any other world leaders who could try using words & feelings like that.

nah - HMQ has my utmost respect and I know I will be shattered when she is gone as she is one of the things that have always been there through my life but she was born to be there. Jacinda Arden's politics seem to be based in the mormom upbringing but whatever the reason she bases on her politics on doing the greater good. That interests me coz 99% of the cunts in the HoC would suggest they got involved in politics for that reason yet have a voting record that they didn't or that they have sold out
