I think it’s all been extremely respectful and peaceful. No drama like those cunts over in Trafford. Just professional and an acknowledgment on both parties that, for now at least, it’s as parting of ways.

£15m would fully wipe his salary off our books for a year. Part payment of his wages would be a bonus. Doubt Everton will buy end this season but who knows? And who knows what someone might pay for a transfer when he returns and looks to enter the final year of his contract.
Agree with earlier poster who wrote it was a respectful outcome. If he does well and reintegrates into the England side for the World Cup it could be a happy outcome all round.

I know what you mean. I just felt for him last year and think this summer must have been hard. We don’t know what gone on behind the scenes, but it’s felt like death by 1000 cuts. I’m just a sensitive soul!
