I think it’s as simple as he wasn’t that good in the first place

When at Villa, I didn’t think he was close to Foden’s level and I didn’t rate him much whilst playing for England either

If he was on half his wages I expect he’d be easier to shift but he isn’t. I find it remarkable he’s one of the club’s highest earners but there we are

He is just lucky that he is homegrown. Never saw him as something special. Nowhere near Sané. The fact that people pretended that he was that good is still funny for me. He would score 3 goals a season and some would still pretend that everyone wants him.

i dont get the hate for him, think there is still a highly skilled intelligent player there that can do a great job for us, forget the fee, he is genuinely a class player. hes been played out of position, square peg in round hole and needs to be given more freedom to play as that is what he showed at villa when he was playing his best.

I don’t think there’s a clause like that but I remember hearing about a UEFA/FIFA (not sure which) clause that stated a player is entitled to move if they are not part of the squad and have not been involved on match days, think its for a negligible transfer fee as well.

I may well be wrong on this but it’s just something I’d heard way back.

I don’t think he is a ‘beast’ of a player. He creates very little and can’t shoot

We overpaid in terms of fee and wages - both of those were miles away from what he’d achieved on the pitch before joining

He’s played more championship games than premier league games at the time we signed him

Napoli are interested in every player this summer doubt it’s because of KDB they just need another LW next to Lang.

I thought he was coming in as a free spirit who would beat his man unlike Sterling. But he was even worse. And the same with Doku and Savinho.

I wish Pep had a way to bring the best out of wingers and still achieve what he wants.

Always felt Grealish would have been great in a AM role.

It would do him good to be out of England, IMO. Away from the press and English fans, away from some of the bad influences and hangers-on etc, a fresh start.
