The situation with Grealish is pretty fucked. We don't know exactly how much hes getting paid but we can safely say its between 200/300k (Which is insane)

He turns 30 in 6 weeks so has next to no resale value.

The only clubs that would be interested in him (west ham/ Everton/ Villa / spurs) would not want to pay him anymore than 100k realistically.

How does this end? Similar to Rashford?
Only 1 way I'm afraid,it will be a loan but I wouldnt let spurs have him in that way

He’s better than both of them two for a start, unless they seriously step up this season then they both need binning. Woeful numbers for a title challenging team
And I’m fully aware Jack’s numbers aren’t impressive either, but that comes from being asked to play effectively as a weird target man. Hold the ball up and win possession or fouls
Also remains madness that he he still never gets used centrally, despite showing his worth on limited opportunities
Agree about him centrally but let’s face it that is never going to happen now at City. Disagree about Doku though. He’s just turned 23 and shows he has the ability on the left to go to a level Jack could only dream of. Yes it’s a big if whether he actually puts it altogether enough to actually fulfill his potential.Jack on the left is just what he is. He’s not got the pace to go on the outside and is very poor at creating half yard and getting shots away. He’s a brilliant footballer technically there is no disputing that. From the left though he’s very limited and Pep clearly wants someone who can beat fullback or chip in with plenty of goals like Marmoush could. Neither those things are going to happen with Grealish stuck out there.

Does Jack want to give himself a chance at going to the World Cup because staying at City means he’ll be watching it from the stands or on tv. If he’s willing to take a pay cut and go to a team where he plays regularly then maybe he just stands a chance of making the squad.

The most likely option is a loan with maybe Jack taking a pay cut and hopefully a fee for us as well. No way will we get all his wages and yearly amortisation back but if we can recoup anything over £20m in total back, saving of 17M wages and then a loan fee this is better than him rocking up just for training and playing the odd cup game

Would Everton, Spurs, West Ham or the Barcodes make a 20-25m investment for one year to see how it goes, maybe

Jack has a contract and will no way take a pay cut to facilitate a loan, it's either the other club paying all of his wages with a low or zero loan fee or we sub his wages.

For all parties sakes I'd rather we sold for whatever amount and effectively pay him off. At least then we would lose the (frankly) ridiculous posts that think he offers more at this point in time than either Doku or even Savinho (who does need to step up or step off).

I wonder what people see when they watch Grealish and Doku.

Grealish hardly ever scores or assists, cant beat a defender to save his life and his contribution to the team seems to be a few backward or square passes and drawing a foul or two in a non- dangerous area.

Doku is raw but he is a game changer. He terrorises defenders with his pace and dribbling ability. He scores goals and provides assists (not enough admittedly).

There is no way Grealish starts ahead of Doku. I think Pep has made that clear.
