Jackson Martinez - City v Milan

Kolarov's agent has been in Milan all week speaking to them and Inter.

I would be wary of the link if he is saying we have offered the buyout, only because Milan are desperate for AK and he would surely have been in the equation also.

I do know United have been very keen and their links to Mendes would make more sense.

Are you pissed up ???

No mate, I'm at work and it's not even noon! There is something to be said about cohesion and Dzeko is proven at this level. Yes, he isn't without flaws, but Martinez is hardly a world-beater either. He's been at Porto for seemingly forever and for his big move away he's being linked with Milan (whoopity woop).

K I might be pissed up, I thought he had been at Porto for more than 3 seasons lol.

He moved to Europe late in his career, since then his career has been pretty stellar tbh. Much better than Dzeko. Just not worth us buying because of his age.

With Dzeko and Jovetic looking likely to move on, we will be in need of a third striker to back up Kun and Bony, assuming we play 4-2-3-1. Whoever we sign, we cannot risk 4-6-0 as we had to do (and got away with) last season. Yet such a player isn't going to be an automatic selection over these two, so that's our quandary in getting a gifted signing.

Martinez is a good player, but I'll repeat what I said in the Higuain thread. We should only spend big on a striker if he's significantly better than Bony. Martinez is not.
