I wouldn't actually be that harsh on him.
The time out he was given last season suggests mental health issues, and it's not really up to us to judge that from the outside.
Sorry mate, I wasn't consciously attempting to put words in your mouth, I was only trying to add a little meat to the bones of your post in order to expand on what I assumed you'd said regarding teenagers being stroppy.
I absolutely agree with you about people on the outside being in no place to judge from their positions of little or no knowledge of the specific nature of his situation, and from experience I know that there are mental health
issues and there are mental health
conditions.
If it's an issue, then you'd have hoped that (given his position) he'd have access to the best mental health therapy that money can buy, and fortunately for him, he'll have a very real possibility of ridding himself of the demons that currently blight his life.
If it's a condition, and the things we are seeing are symptoms of his coping mechanisms for this condition, then, unfortunately, no amount of therapy or techniques/practices will help him. He'll have no alternative other than attempting to learn to live with the specific chemical imbalances that the condition throws his way as best he can, as many do.
Either way, if he is having difficulties with his mental health, I wish him all best as it's not an easy road to walk, believe me.
