You keep watching his career and you will see a pattern.

He was allowed to leave us for a reason, not one person involved in the club ever doubted his talent.

It's always funny when someone shows themself to be clueless on something they're pontificating about.

He wasn't "allowed to leave" at all.

He was offered the biggest contract to a 17 year old in English football, and he turned it down. They tried for months and months to get him to sign a deal and he turned them down, and then the club did everything to make sure he went abroad and not to a domestic rival.

That's all on record and has been spoken about publically by all parties involved.

This is all 100% true. Also his agent was in his ear telling him he had an outside chance of the world cup squad if he left. The agent's parent company weren't even happy with the agent pushing Sancho away! They didn't want to sour relationships with City. But it happened. City were offering him record breaking money.

Sancho, by all accounts, isn't a bad kid at all. Maybe a tad naive, but he's very very young. We all did stupid things as a teenager. His teachers said he was a polite, friendly kid at Bedes. He was apparently just not the brightest ha. Given the lifestyle thrown in front of him what he's done so far is absolutely harmless. Listened to an agent while he was a schoolboy, was a bit bad with his timekeeping a few times. I mean that's hardly Joey Barton attacking a kid with a cigar is it? Just typical teenager things. It might be a warning sign, but it equally might not be. Either way it's no worse than Sterling, not even close tbh. He could quite easily grow out of it.

Sancho fan boys are back I see, pretending they know what happened behind the scenes.

When you read former coaches had to limit the amount of time they talked to the boy to under 20-30 seconds as he would fail to respond, you know you're not dealing with a mature professional irrespective of age

Probably neither, because they have a squad just like we do?

So Liverpool will be paying a hefty fee and he will leaving a big club to sit on the bench ?

Also both of Salah and mane are at their peak age 27 - 28 and freakishly play all the main matches

He will be part of a squad . He will get lots of game time. Liverpool have had very little injuries to their front players and Klopp knows that he has not much back up if Mane or Salah were out for an extended period

Reminds me of the posts when we signed Mahrez and Bernardo. Behind Mane and Salah, they've got... Origi and Oxlade-Chamberlain? Compare to our squad and it's pretty clear why they need another.

Think you are missing my point. He left city , for regular consistent playing time . At 17 , thay was his demand ( fair enough )

My point is 2 years on , why do u think he will be happy to split playing time.

You mentioned bernardo and mahrez. They knew coming in Pep rotates his squad and have bought into it.

Klopp with the exception of his mid field doesnt.

Main question would he settle for the playing time ox and origi are getting now as u mentioned . I highly doubt it .

Why is it different? Because before he was a 17 year old who wanted to break through and not play youth football anymore. He wasn't an undisputed starter when he arrived at Dortmund. he played for the second team, worked his way into the senior side, and eventually a starting position. If this goes through he'll be a big money signing, on decent wages, and in a paper thin squad that plays an absolute ton of games. There's enough minutes to go around both now and in the case of injury or whatever. Liverpool are strongly incentivized to make it work and he probably backs himself to secure a spot.

Would be so shit if the scousers sign him, we really can't afford to let them get even further ahead of us with signings like this while we seem to be sitting on our hands and trying to fit square pegs in round holes.

Our squad is crying out for reinvigorating signings asap. We could still win the league with just one or two like Sancho, or Madison or Haaland.
