Jailbreaking iPod touch

I've just done it through redsnow. Word of warning, if you have vista you need to set the program to run in XP and run as administrator.

Edit: It's fucking sweet, I can get shitloads of apps for free.
 
I jailbroke my iPhone, but I had all kinds of stability problems afterwards & reset it back to the official settings. Not sure if the same is true for the touch though

You can change the theme as well.

I jailbroke mine ages ago, loved it at first, getting shit loads of apps and themes. But was slowing my iPod down, a lot! So restored it back to factory settings.

I rarely played the apps as well. So was taking up vital memory where I could store music :).

The 3.0 jailbreak's working fine. I read that a problem with it was that couldn't properly turn it off without connecting it to the computer. Nothing like that's happened for me.
