Watching Bernardo's goal on repeat
It just occured to me that even at such a young age he's already looking like exactly what we need in midfield. Anyone else think along the same lines?

He's young
He's English
He's fairly quick
He has a great touch
He can pick a pass and his link up play is better than decent
He puts in a hell of a shift
and he can play a variety of positions.

If i were Mancini and the board i'd making him a priority in summer, fairly sure Villa'd hold strong and end up keeping him, but it's worth every effort in my mind.

really like Milner as well.He seems to have a really good attitude.I think he would be a great addition to our squad. He comes across in his interviews as a half decent lad as well.

Great call. Never really rated him before this season but has been a revelation for Villa this year. Not sure we will be able to get him though.

Yeah not a bad player Milner. Its a shame we signed Barry as he was the 1 I would of loved to have seen at City. The problem I see is whats his best position on the wing in midfield or even full back that lad has played in most positions in the pitch apart from goals. I cant see Villa selling and just cant see City going for him at the moment with Johnson and Bellers on the wings with decent cover aswell.

He's having a great season, and is obviously a good player. Will be interesting to see if he keeps it up consistently though. To be honest i'm not a massive fan, but that's more of his style rather than effectiveness.

Wat does everyone think of Of a swap deal Stevie Ireland for James Milner

I'm a huge fan of Steve and I'm really gutted at how poor his season's been in comparison to last. I don't really want to see him go, I think with the post season rest (if he doesn't run himself down like last year) he could regain that magic.

There are very few people i'd be happy to see him swapped for. And if i were to entertain the idea, Milner would be on that list, along with Abu Diaby. I may well get slated for that but I rate Diaby quite highly too. He's been quietly efficient this season and last.

lets not use steve as a bargaining chip though eh, lets send in the checkbook ;).

Had a great year, but don't think he's top notch.

We need something different, pace and power is what we're lacking and he's average at both.

if we want pace and power i think a bid Steven Gerrard would be good. Could give him a chance to win the premier league
