does seem that way. looking at it, i dont think people are doubting his ability, but is he really much better than who we already have?!

Sounds like a parting of the waves to me, when team mates come out saying things like it will be tough to keep hold of him. The writings on the wall imo!

Agree, Lets face it, It's not like they have'nt been talking about it on england duty.
I wonder if they share a room?

i want him as you need players like milner HOWEVER anything more than 15-20mil is quite frankly ridiculous!

hes just a steady eddy if you ask me.
hardly oozes tricks and skill.takes free kicks,but not exactly a free kick expert (doesnt blast it into straight into the wall enough times for my liking).gets a few goals (takes pens aswell mind) though not prolific in my view.not seen him rule a game once by passing top balls everywhere or winning tackles all over the place.
hes a young,english,box to box player,who scores a few screamers now and again.....joey barton without the temper!!!!

he is average
he got dominated last night in the england game (along with carrick) especially in the first half and that was arguably by the mexicans second team!!!!
He is a box to box player and he is full of runnnig there is no arguement in that but he lacks any creativit and a limited goal scoring threat.
We should be lokoing elsewhere.
