James Milner

notwithstanding excellent performances from the likes of richards & clichy, milner was outstanding today. covering in defence, breaking up opposition possession & movement, linking forward play & joining the attack. just about as thorough a performance as you could wish for. my motm.
 
I think he has become a very important player for us,and to stand out amongst the team we have speaks volumes for how good he has become.my mom today.
 
He was amazing again today as he has been every time he has played this season. One key difference this season is that the runs he is making are being spotted by team mates and he is being given the ball in offensive positions; last season the ball all too often went to herman and we know that nobody got it off him too often.

I also think that De Jong and Yaya and he were immense as a unit today, as well as the full backs, they all did their jobs wonderfully well, great performance and great result
 
A lot of you people wouldn't be told about Milner when he first came on board. He's always been an excellent player and now he's better than ever.
 
little bit off topic, i follow city (Glas Rangers fan) becoz my bro played for them but why has de jong not been playing, was he injured, hes a great player.

dont put me in that category - I have NEVER slagged him on this board, and indeed have never slagged a City player on this board (well not unless you count nicky summerbee)
