Such comments:

Left City to win trophies, that his pool team is the best team he's played for, complained about playing time at city and that he wasn't getting played in midfield enough.

Bitter comments that were not needed. He won a lot with us, was paid and treated well. Left on a free with a nice signing on bonus. Then proceeds to make such comments. Had he not been so better he would not have been booed.

Played most of his liverpool career at LB, winning zero trophies, losing finals.

He is only playing in midfield because of injuries.

Genuine question. I’m really curious. I can’t personally remember any quote, in the media or elsewhere, where he said that he was thinking of re-signing. If you point me in the direction of any kind of source where he led us up the garden path like this, then fine, I agree with you. But I have no specific memory of it.

As for the celebrating in front of former fans when you score (not your point, I understand that, but the point of some other posts on here) I personally hope that Raheem celebrates like fuck when he finally scores against the dippers (which he will do, and I sincerely hope it’s at Anfield).

He went to the press to complain about not getting minutes.

We subsequently give him more minutes.

Realising that his excuse doesn't hold water, he then changes his tune to "I'm not being played in my favoured position"...

If he conducted himself like Emre Can has in running down his contract I'm sure most City fans would have no qualms. But it's the sheer hypocrisy of his conduct that grates, lying to manufacture a narrative to join Liverpool, when the same reasons (he's played largely at left back for most of this season) illicit no complaints from him now.

YNWA James! (You'll Never Win Anything)

Oh come on. Milner is a professional footballer i.e he plays for money. Almost certainly he is still a Leeds fan but wherever he has gone he has given 100%. He has not bad mouthed us at all and basically just said the standard stuff when players sign for another club. What are you supposed to say when you get asked "are you glad to be at Liverpool?" "what does Liverpool mean to you" etc etc.

Have you read this thread ?

As soon as he retires he will be forgotten. He has no stand out moments in his career. No match defining moments, no personality or character save for being known as boring. He will not be remembered fondly by any of the team's fans he played for. A bang average player who you hardly remember.

His best game was at home to Sheffield Wednesday in the Cup. Sums him up really.
