It's not just me that doesn't 'get' this bloke then.
I was wondering what the fuck I was missing when I watched him.
MOTD player it seems unfortunately, not what we need here.
He's a long way from shite but he's too much like De Bruyne for our needs. He tries a lot of high risk things and they either pay off and look brilliant or fail and give the opposition the ball, we already have Super Kev for that. He can only really effectively play as a number 10 as well and we have them coming out our arse, I'd far rather get a genuine winger or a ball playing central midfielder, number 10's are the last thing we need

James will always be remembered for that stunning goal in the world cup finals two years. He is good but not a week by week superstar and can go missing in many games. That's why Madrid seemingly wish to offload.
As many have already said we have several players that fill this role at the present time. What we need for next season is a deep lying playmaker that can control a game on a regular basis. Fill this gap and the structure of our team will improve overnight.

After watching him versus Chelsea in the champions league that's what I thought we were getting in Fernandinho. Maybe Pep can tailor his game to that role.

Over-rated after scoring a worldy at the WC and playing well for Columbia. Not lit up la liga at all
no need. City already have unbalance team with too many AM in the squad.
i hate to see KDB, Silva and Nasri playing out wide. that's not their natural position.
there is other position in dire need to be strengthen,
upgrade RB, LB, CM, Winger and ST, for starters.
love Nacho, but if Kun were injured, we can't rely on 19 years old kid for whole season.
i already count Bony out. 1 goal in every 5 games is a very poor record.
