What's this bit about "Forced due to his outside interest"?
Newcastle made a bid and he may well have gone there if we hadn't matched the bid at that point.

He should have gone elsewhere then.Last season gained the record of 12 consecutive clean sheets in the championship, 30 clean sheets in total - he’s definitely got talent! Apparently conceded just 16 goals too, different level to PL but has to be the best English keeper around currently Shirley?
Want to see him with a decent defence in front of him
He still could have if he wanted ,it was still his choice.Newcastle made a bid and he may well have gone there if we hadn't matched the bid at that point.

Yes, got you now.Think he means that our move was forced because of that.
Of course the final decision on where to go after that was Trafford's.
doesn't matter, Pep will be playing him in midfield anywayBut is he tall enough?
Yes, but Harry could also plumb in a washing machine.Ask Harry Dowd!
James Beswick perhaps.Well, nobody's going to say anything different really, are they, but there are good grounds for thinking it's genuine, given that he was trained as a keeper here first, and it's a kind of homecoming.
Needs to change his name by deed poll, and then he'll be fine…
Glad to see James come home.
Agree. If he isn't playing consistently after the first 4 or 5 games it's likely he will spend the Season on the bench. I suspect he knows that and it's a chance all players take when moving clubs.Lets have none of this phasing period or settling in. No sharing with Eddie, keepers are different and they need to be number 1. He has had a few years experience now at being a number 1 and is ready. Welcome back Traff
What about it? We now own both Trafford - the stadium and Trafford - the player xdWelcome back James. Now; about that surname.......
Harry was a bit short by gk standards but he had a fantastic leap. I always felt he was unlucky to miss most of our championship season due to injury. He was back as no.1 the following year but a certain Mr. Corrigan was looming.Yes, but Harry could also plumb in a washing machine.
Why would we chop and change keepers through the season?Fantastic signing. One I'm really excited by. Gut feeling is he'll already be established as our number 1 before the upcoming season ends.
We won't but Trafford will play the cups, however last season Ederson had a few injuries and I could see Trafford getting into the team at some point in the season and keeping his place. Why would we chop and change keepers through the season?
City have a superb record of keepers, here’s hoping Trafford is a worthy successor to Swift, Trautmann, Dowd, Corrigan, Hart, rather than Dibble.
