Not sure what your point is? If traffords not good enough, what does it matter if ederson and ortega aren’t either?

I haven’t seen him this year but he was hopeless last season. Seems burnley are built on defence first which will aid Trafford. So much so that there is unrest from burnley fans in the boring football despite results.

On the other hand, the way Burnleys "defense" was built last season under Vinny was the stuff of nightmares for a GK. I'm not saying Trafford is undoubtedly the answer, but I'm certainly not ruling out that a young homegrown GK thats having an outstanding season breaking multiple GK records in a top team in the Championship could be an option.

Had a tough year in the prem plating behind an awful defence. He's young and the old 'keepers take longer to mature' adage is very true.
Definitely need to keep a very close eye on him.
Someone I know knows him very well. He's raved about him since he was a teenager. He's a really judge of keeper too.

It has a lot to do with how Burnley plays, if you play behind a really good defense you will obviously not concede loads of goals. But him conceding 9 less goals than expected (or conceding 0.29/90 less than expected) according to underlying numbers suggests it has more than just "little" to do with him. Thats outstanding numbers.

I think he will be a top keeper. I think it’s harsh to judge him when he was in the premier league. He was so young and you never usually see a 19/20 year old keeper at the top level.

His numbers also show its not just all Burnley.

His expected goals to concede is 18, but they only have 9, thats all his doing.

Maybe Burnley play boring, and dont use the GK in build up like us, but he is from our academy, I think he must be above average on the ball.

Obviously could never be 1st choice for us, but if we lose both keepera this summer, I wouldnt bw unhappy with him as a 2nd choice keeper.

He biggest weakness is with the ball at his feet, he looks very ordinary/poor to me.
